BMDE Trek 1B is a 3-4 hour 13.5km hike that begins 4kms into Webcon logging road where it intersects with the gated Benoit’s Cove water supply road. After a 1.5km walk down the road, hikers must cross shin-to-knee-deep Clark’s Brook (ideally wearing aqua slippers) then hike 2kms up a gravel excavator track.
From the end of the track, the route follows along the base of the Blow Me Down Mountains to Charlie’s Bottom
a broad two-tier cirque just east of Blow Me Down Gulch.

Near the bottom of the cirque is a series of cascading falls that make an ideal spot for a refreshing midsummer dip … and well-earned mid-hike picnic!
After the “picdip“, it’s time to turn around and retrace steps back to Clark’s Brook and Webcon Road. Of course depending on weather and schedules, this 3-4 hour trek can be turned into a 4-6 hour cascading adventure!
